Alright so I found out today that there is a 04 procharged GT 5spd. I was told it was pushing 12 lbs. of boost. CAI exhaust all of the other usuals. I am wondering do any of you guys have a clue as to how many HP it has and what would happen if I raced him. My car is in my sig and add a 75 dry shot to that. What do you guys think?

 

He would toast you. That being if he wasnt lieing about his setup.

how much spray he can go against a procharger? Let alone the other guy using spray too?

 

if he's running 12PSI on the procharger, he ordered a new pulley and new belt, which means its prolly been tuned, and wouldnt doubt spray either. if he hasnt been tuned or has spray i think it's a driver's race. you having the edge cuz of the DR's mainly.

B. your looking at a 260 horse power engine at N/A
c. the aprox forumla is 7% of your N/A horse per horse power
which means 418 horse power aprox which means he only needs to gain 68 horse power with the spray ..........in short more than doable particualry with a lightlymoded LS1 before the spray

not many guys do SC AND spray, and the OP didnt mention it.... so I dont know why this is a point for discussion. boltons and a 75 shot will make him at least compete for it. although if the mustang really is at 12 lbs he probably has a bunch of other work done. those motors can only handle 10, and even then only with a really good tune, in stock form. To safely run 12psi he would need to forge the internals. a 10psi car would be right around 400rwhp. so this guy would be 430-450rwhp i would think if its all true.

 

This guy lives in my town and drives a silver 02 ss, funny thing is it has the same mods as are listed in your sig. It cant be the same guy though cause he tells me he is not sprayin his car, eventhough I have called him on it multiple times.

 

A couple of questions for you
1.How many people do you know that would pay that much money for a procharger and not have it tuned?
2.How many cars have you ever seen that had any type of forced induction and where spraying into to the motor
