So I got my SS about 2 months ago and I got pretty good at driving a manual. This is my first race ever so I am a little nervous, but it has to come sooner or later. My brother has a SRT4 stage 3 turbo kit. it is bad. I know it might look like a Neon but trust me it is not. We race from 50 to about 110 in 3rd gear we stay about even I shift to 4th and he does too then it is like HOLY CRAP he is 3 cars ahead and still pulling at 110. I know I got beat by a 4 cylinder. I'm stock he isn't. Do you guys think when I get done with my motor to get around 400-420 rwhp I can get him. You guys might think I can't drive thats why I got beat by a 4 banger I can drive ok but believe me his car is fast he races all the time and he has only gotten beat by a built Trans Am with Nitrous. His car has dynoed 330 fwhp. Dang Turbo is all I can say.

 

well this ur motor is stock and his isnt. stock stage one turbo 220hp 12.9s if he has 330 to the wheel **** that is a high 10s car. what are u expecting man?

 

look bro if hes pushing 330 to the wheels thats the same as if not more horse than youve got and his car is much lighter once his turbos wind up you dont stand a chance its nothing to be ashamed of and ya if you gonna put enough in yours to have 420 to the wheels then heck ya youll have a chance specially in a short drag youll eat his aZZ

 

dont feel bad, i had a simalar race about 3 days ago,a brotha man in a SRT-4 STG3 portedwith aggresive cam, i had him till he hit 4th and he started pulling all 3 times.

i thought i had a good chancesince ive took 2stg2 fully ported/ mild cammed SRT-4's by at least2or3 lengths within 1 month.

after we raced the guy was actually cool tho when we slowed down, he said "damn that car is badass" i was kind of surprised,thought he would talk that ricer crap, i told him he had one of the fastest SRT-4's ive raced,he smiled and and held up 3 fingers, we both pulled over and talked for a min, where we learned a lil about each others cars.

Hey, they are american cars so we can feel good about that, ive never lost to a ricer that was foreign.

 

330 whp is not going to get a front wheel drive car into the tens, they do not 60 foot well enough. With my set up (see sig) stage 3 SRT4's are not much of a problem unless it is from a roll, but that's not really racing anyways.

 

From a dig you would trash him, till he got traction.

Yeah that is what I figured so you guys have a little experience with these skittle cars. I totally agree that it is american and not foreign and from a dig I will beat him till he catches traction. But if I hammer it off the line I spin too. His car is wicked fast and he doesn't talk all that ricer crap he has actually raced and beat every ricer around my town. It is good though that all the cops around know my car and my brothers and said they won't pull us over for anything. Cause I bought mine from a cop and they can't catch his. This is TRUE I promise. Either way when I get my car done we will race again then I will tell you the results. P.S. last night he got a S charged 04 Cobra from a dig last night.

 

better put the bottle on it.

 

That's because the Cobra had a bad driver mod installed.
