Just make shure they dont do that B.S. junk where they kill you on the launch, then shut down on you at like 55mph while you are still pulling.

the evo is a bigger challange than the STi the sti dose have more horse pwer by a whooping 8! but the evo is in fact lighter the the limited slip in the evo is one the best in the industry and will ajust to your driving style to get better grip and the evo has only one turbo to wind up thusly dose so more efficantly in short EVO > STI

 

erm...an STi only has one turbo too...on the other hand, the STi has a much more superior sound to the evo, so I contest that the STi>Evo haha!

 

In my experience I have seen bigger numbers out of the Evos than the STi's. Personally I like the subaru better, but oh well. The mitsuplatform is able to handle more power without major modification. There was a guy with a STi on MF and with a new racing longblock and an ungodly amount of work he got around 550 awhp. There was a guy in my town that was putting around 600 (they claimed 700, but i doubt it) awhp in his evo. Dont get me wrong, he had done a crapload too, but it seems to be easier to get big numbers from the mitsu.

but yeah, they both have 1 turbo. the subaru however has a horizontally opposed motor versus the inline 4 of the EVO

well i have a ton of experience from actually raceing the cars, its more like sti > evo, are hippy buddy has a 04 with turbo back exhaust and another subby built engine siting around and knows a ton about the cars, he also pulls on all evos stock for stock the sti usally always edges on the evo...and they do sound kinda wierd like the ugly step child v8 lol a low wierd v8/ricer or somthing i was like wtf when i heard his lol

 

wrx has one turbo sti is twin turbo im almost sure

 

no, they are both single turbo.

i have never heard of anyone going TT with a 4 cyl

 

Well I don't know anyone that owns an STI but I have seen one rollin around here.... I wanted to know more in general so if it ever came time I'd know what to expect.
