My buddy is about to pick up an 01 svt cobramustang (stock)I believe, I have an 01 ss camaro with lidand slp LM catback. Should I be worried? Let me know and what can I do so I am not worried lol

 

ushould be worried if he knows how to drive. U should be more worried when he decides to pully it. you will need at least full boltons and gears to consistantly take out a cobra. if he mods at all you will need a cam. im not saying he will kill you every time if u dont have these things, it may be close, but the other car should still be faster

 

i thought changing pulleys were really only for supercharged cars? i didn't think 01 cobras were supercharged? i don't know that much about mustangs and maybe i'm wrong about pulleys. correct me if i am!

01's can be dangerous, but they are slower than ls1's stock for stock, and dont mod quite as well. if u dont launch right u may be in trouble. those cars are high 13 capable out of the box with high-mid if they are really good. the ls1 is usually low-mid capable with low 13s high 12s if ur awesome.

 

ya, i was gonna say...03 is when they have like 390 hp, 02 and under are like 320 or something. just grabbin the last number out of my a$$, not sure about it
