Default 3.4 upper engine swap

I have the 94 camaro and i have blown a head gasket as well as the rest of the engine is worn out. Ive heard of the 3400 front wheel drive head and intake swap for the camaro and im interested in doing this along with a bigger cam headers and exhuast im just not for sure what year or model of 3400 to take these parts from or any other helpful information or details about this swap so was hoping someone nows how to do this and what to do? Jon

There's alot more you need. I've done research into this and here's the scoop. The heads of a 3400 won't botl on the 3.4/ You need the heads off a 3100 engine. But, you need the piston rods and rocker arms off a 3400 as well as the TB and lower intake manifold. The upper intake manifold you'll need off a 3500 engine. The upper intake off a 3400 is reversed since it's a FWD engine.

Because the rocker arms will hit the heads.

Didn't you want to say PUSH RODS here? The "piston rods" or connecting rods would not matter any in this situation.

As for the intake parts just make sure that they all line up with the ports and bolt holes. Cooling ports are important things to have line up as well.

Check out the V6-V8 swap thread. There is one guy who did an old school V8 swap. It is a huge project and the end result is very tuff to work on. Open your hood and imagine where the distributer would be.
