How many here have Snap-On tools??? i know my set gets used quite regularly on my cars.

 

I have a few here and there and so does my dad. all of which are from the 50s and 60s. Mine are from my gpa from when he was the head electrican at the local dock company.

 

I have a few speciality tools but for the most part I use crafstman. THere is a Sears 10 mins. from my house.

 

I have some Snap-on from when I was a mechanic. Most of it went when i stopped turning wrenchs. I kept all the hand tools only to have then stolen about 5 years later. Insurance covered them but at the time money was spent other placed. I can not afford to buy them now, but I will pick up a few pcs when i see them at flea markerts or yard sales.

I picked up a set of metric swivel sockets and a 8" DA sander for $60 the other day. The bearings in the DA have a little growl in them but it should hold up for a couple of cars before I have to get the bearing kit.

 

I had snap-on when I use to turn wrench's for living back in the 80's because there dealer came to our dealership's. I lost them in divorce.
your paying for there name ,more than anything. for the last 15 yrs I have sears craftsmen tools in my shop's .

 

i almost bought some snap on/matco tools cause i get a discount on them at school,but decided not to right now, and i just use my stanley stuff

 

Stanley? I have a set of philips heads from them, otherwise not so much. But if they work I guess you cant complain right?

 

When I worked in maint for a local company I bought 6k just in Craftsman hand tools. I am looking to get Matco ratchets tho.

 

yeah,work great for me,havent had any issues at all.They also own and produce Mac Tools

 

A few here and there. Just like gorn, Buy them when there is a decent Deal.
