Well the engine didn’t go in lastnight as planned. I was putting the harmonic balancer on the engine while it was on the stand and I chewed up the threads in the crank. So I have to repair that tonight before the engine goes in. Other than that, it’s completely assembled and ready to drop in the car!! Wish me luck on repairing these chewed up threads!

I got lucky too. Hit it with a thread chaser and bought a new balancer bolt. Ready to go back in the car now. Just waiting on my buddy to bring the engine hoist over.

Looken good so far. Were you using a harmonic dampener install tool, or (oops) just cranking it on by the center bolt? Also, there's a trick for installing the water pump shaft seal. Can't tell in the pic, but if the seal is angled out, towards the front of the engine, it'll leak oil.

There’s two parts of the seal that look like they seal the oil from coming out. The inner part of the seal closest to the engine is pushed inward toward the engine and the outer part is pushed out away from the engine.

And I was just cranking it with the balancer bolt lol whoops. I tapped it on with a hammer this go around. Took forever but it’s on. Don’t tell me how it probably messed up my bearings or the balancer by doing it that way. I know putting it on that way was a bad idea but I did it anyway. I’m hoping for the best.
