Sarah and I have been together only one short year now and alot has happened. I will make it quick!
First off She was pretty sick when I dropped $500 for her, really dirty too. An oil change place started her engine with out any oil which caused some damage. Lucky for me the previous owner didnt drive her after the oil filter popped. I put on a new oil filter and she was good to go... For a while any way.
Pic of Sarah about 3 weeks after bringing her home and cleaning her up.
Well the day after I took that pic some b*tch ran a stop sign and totaled my Sarah.
Well I used to be a body man and the work to repair her was not too hard, about 30 hours and $1500 out of my own pocket and she was ready for paint.
Here she is right after I got her back from paint. She is better than ever!
So all is well right? Kinda... Remember what I said about the oil filter popping a gasket earlier... Well it happened again and this time Sarah and I were driving down the road... Damage was done and a rod started knocking shortly after. New engine time
Since I could not find a Camaro Engine I was forced to research where I could get and engine from and what did I have to do to make a FWD engine work. That lead me to create this thread here: https://camaroforums.com/forum/v6-te...nt-info-57568/
Here is the new engine right where it belongs.
Notice the Machined 3800 Series II on the top of the intake!
Some time before the engine went I had a few extra pennies from either my taxes or leftover from the sale of our Alero so I picked up some new tunes
So now that I have a new engine, no body damage and new stereo with iPod and HD radio (new speakers too) it is time to actually get some modding done! The first thing I did was aquire some ANZO USA halo headlights. These really made the car look good. No more of that nasty cloudy crap that came with the car.
Can you say sexy... I know you can... There ya go! Good job.
Well Sarah was really needing new shoes, and I thought this was the perfect thing to do next. oewheelsllc was there to help. A set of Z06 17x9.5 with machined face wrapped in 275/40-ZR17 rubber showed up at my door a couple of weeks later.
About this same time I also ordered a tower brace. This little bar really helps for any one wanting a quick way to improve handling.
Well the new wheels really showed me just how dirty my calipers really are, plus it was time for some new brakes so I went all out and painted the rotors, and calipers a nice shade of black to match the wheels.
That was last week and so far nothing else has been done.
Believe it or not this was the short version of the story, for the full version with more pictures and explainations visit this link:
