Ok well if you have been living under a rock or are new to the forum we are waiting on a update to the forum. Right now the polls are busted which kind of makes ride of the month difficult. It could be some time before we get the updates but there are a few ways to go about this if admin and every one wants to go throw with it. I would personally like to see ride of the month come back to the forum. With new members now joining daily and old members returning more and more i think its a great opertunity.

how would they take votes? pen and paper?

 

It would have to be a open vote where you could see who was voting for who. At the end a mod or admin would count them up and the winner would be named. Of course we all would be able to count our selves but admin or a mod would be the final authority on naming the official winner. But what do you guys think. Heck i am just throwing out ideas now is a good time to throw out some of your own.

go look at the old nomination threads...... how much work do u think went into ROTM before it broke?
thats why i would get so pissy when people would get off topic in those threads.


Here is one dilemma:
some of the guys from the last nominations arent around very often. i know orocker is kinda comin back. dacats posts infrequently, and ******* has been gone for 5 months. didnt even look at the others, im assuming they are still obscure.

so we if we do this, im thinking we will need to just start fresh. probably with 1st gen since they were up again.
Im going to talk to pat about making a forum wide announcement, leave that up for about a week (during which time you guys need to build some excitement). then we will open up new 1st gen noms for a week and a half, then voting for a week and a half. what do you think?

 

I like the idea of starting fresh and the 1st gen guys should be up since it was there turn last time. I would say leave the nominations up for a week then voting for a week but thats just my 2 cents. One thing that should be said is nominations should be kept some what short no need to right a book.

 

it sounds good tyler.I think we should keep the format 1,2,3,4 for gen so atleast people will have 3 chances a year depending on their generation to win, and if they didnt win the first time they would have a couple months or so to make their car better or work on it.
