Alright, quick story. My Camaro is a 1983 Z28. Mods list as follows:

1974 350 4-bolt main casting #3970010
Steel crank
Forged aluminum pistions
PM steel rods
.450 lift cam
Double roller timing set
Melling high volume/pressure oil pump
Edelbrock Performer intake
Holley 670 Street Avenger carb w/Holley 14x3 air cleaner
Shorty headers
Flowmaster 80 series muffler

Transmission
700R4, 100% built
Billet input shaft
Kevlar bands
"Z-Pack" kevlar clutches
Corvette servos
2200 RPM stall converter
TCI lockup kit
B&M ratchet shifter

Suspension
Full prothane suspension bushings
10 bolt LSD (Posi) rear end with 3.23 gears
Rear disc brakes with new rotors, calipers, pads, and lines all around
New shocks/struts

Not to mention all the other new parts that are on the Camaro. I built the engine when I was 14, then bought the Camaro when I was 15. Paid for 90% of it myself working as a Hydraulic apprentice and I figure im around $6k at this point.

Thanks guys The engine literally had 24,000 original miles on it. My father's business partner bought a truck/camper back in 1974 brand new. Drove it on 4 trips, then parked it. Eventually pulled the motor, and it was sitting upside down under a semi trailer for about 20 years. The motor was beautiful on the inside, no ridge on the top of the cylinders, hardly any carbon deposits, and there was still even a cross hatch pattern on the cylinder walls.

And yes, there will still be some more progress coming. Next will be the body work, how it is in my sig is how I want it to look. Next is rims and tires, then the interior, and then the engine is coming back out so I can do the engine bay up right, and add a set of Jegs aluminum heads, a larger cam, different intake, roller rockers, and a few other goodies.
