ROTM catagories
what about time catagories. intergenerational catagory for cars that have been at the track.
do you guys think we have enough 12,11,10.... sec cars to make this work? I know there arent many guys in my dyno thread [>:]but i think ive seen more track times in sigs than hp numbers.

These are the only ones that have seemed to have universal support.
I like the idea of separating out by value and performance, because that mixes up the generations somewhat, but i agree with Slvr that its kinda goofy to just go by price. We need something more concrete, because if u have ever looked at the classifieds at tech, a newer fbody can be anywhere from 6k-25k [&:]
also, i havent heard much support for the v6 (unless i missed it, other than stic5) but I may have to just pull rank and get that on there. I really think the v6 guys need a month where they dont have to compete with v8 cars. Lets face it, v8's tend to pull more votes, but there are still some cool v6 cars around.
one thing we could do to diversify is to use the 2nd round of generational months for v6 only. i.e. there are 2 months a year for 3rd gens, but 1 is for v8, 1 is for v6. just a thought

Like I said, I support STIC's list, including the V6 part, everyone needs a chance to be in it even if they don't have a V8. I don't think we have enough people breaking into the 12's, or at least not enough that I've seen aside from the LS1 guys. I like the V6 and V8 month of any gen. We could go for something like a "best picture" not necessarily just the car, but the composition of the photo itself (i.e. background, photo techniques), but that may be just me because I like photography...
i think best picture does alot for whoever wins as it is. this is a Ride of the month, so it needs to be the car that wins, not the owner, and photography skill is related to the owner.
also, nominations would get weird if the person has to first submit a photo and then get nominated.

Ya, you're right about the photo thing...hmm...so right now we've got:
1) 1st Gen
2) 2nd Gen
3) 3rd Gen
4) 4th Gen
5) V6
6) V8
7) LT1
8) LS1
9) 15+ Sec. club
10) 13-15+ sec. club
11) 12 or less sec. club
12) Camaro Outsiders club
How does that look?

the lt1/ls1 really is another set of 4th gen months, which is unfair to the rest of the guys around here. I feel like I dont see alot of older guys around here much, its all 4th gen throughout the forum, and the 1-3 gen guys kinda stick in their caves... i mean individual forums. so i dont want to alienate them at all with a biased ROTM schedule.
1) 1st Gen
2) 2nd Gen
3) 3rd Gen
4) 4th Gen
5) V6
6) 1st
7) 2nd
8) 3rd
9) 4th
10) 13-15+ sec. club
11) 12 or less sec. club
12) Camaro Outsiders club
I would probably go something like this. ROTM kinda glorifies the v8 as it is, so 3 extra months dedicated to v8 isnt necessary. We could also have a wildcard month where we will impose a random restriction (blue cars or something like that)
