He didn't known if it had been rebuilt or not. It IS the original engine apparently but I haven't looked form the numbers to see if it was 300 or 350 horse. Already has an edelbrock intake but that yellow crap ain't gonna work. I'm wanting to go with a single plane intake anyway though and a holley double pumper. At least once I do go through the engine. For now it actually sounds really good.

Only smoke was from stuff I dripped on the exhaust. None from the motor. No knocks either. And due to there being no radiator I didn't run it for long enough to REALLY check for leakes. Oh I did roll up the windows to make sure they work... and put the rear window back in. Loving the fact that the rear window is removable. Also the fully independent rear suspension is pretty sweet for back then... hey 69 did they offer any kind of dual climate control? There's a **** for driver and passenger side for AC

Are you missing the whole wiper door assembly, or just the door? I do believe I have a door. Missing the cowl grille too? I see you already ordered the brake calipers. Was busy today, but meant to mention to look see if possibly a previous owner may have replaced them already. Some of the companies that rebuild the stock calipers into stainless units stamp it with an "SS".

Two books you want to get:
Vette Vues Fact Book Pictures on almost every page showing what all the components, features and options are supposed to look like, as well as part numbers, codes, etc.
1969 Vette Assembly Manual This one is a must have, and will answer ALL of those "where does this go" and "what in the hell were they thinking" questions (you'll find out) lol
