Got the car home from the paint shop yesterday, put it on the lift when it Got home to do a little more cleanup and adding another coat of white to the wheel wells before finally bolting all 4 chrome wheels on. Need to do a little work on the motor, it doesn't want to idle at all when cold, thinking its a tight valve because it popped through the carb a few times.

On Monday sent the stantions to the powder coater and they are done.

Getting down to little details, which is good because the roadster show is right around the corner!

Is that a solid lifter cam, or hydraulic? Seems like most mechanics get a little carried away these days adjusting hydraulics too tight. I like about 1/2-3/4 turn preload, but some go as far as 1.5 turns, and that usually gives headaches.

Hydraulic cam, CJ backed them off while the motor sat, we didn't rebuild the motor it's still fresh from its last rebuild CH did 25 years ago. He set the valves on the stand, now he's going to do it hot, we have a old valve cover we cut the center out of for doing this also have those clips that cover the push rods to also help co rain the mess.

the countdown is getting closer! in a little over a week we will be setting up at the roadster show! Really down to the details, carpet should get here tomorrow, got the stations all put together with the lights, and wiring, been piling up all the stuff going in the display, got a couple of enlarged pictures framed of the car at different stages. getting really excited!

I know! We think we have everything figured out on how to load and store everything. We are borrowing a 24ft enclosed for the show.we will find out how it's all going to fit Tuesday night!

A 24' will sure help, but at over 16' long, plus a little wiggle room at both ends, it will be packed for sure!

Well it's Roadster show this weekend! The car is pretty much dialed in, waxed and vacuumed, just final polish at the show. Got the display all together and ready to go. Carpet arrived last week and looks great! Only downside is its heavy. Really down to making a few little stands for a couple pictures and getting a led bulb for the spot light in the engine compartment. We are moving in early Wednesday.

Better go to HF and get a couple cheap dollies to roll the carpet in and out. It will save your backs packing it!
