1956 Chevy Custom "Miss Taboo"
right now its just temporary. the mufflers are glasspacks. we are trying to get it set up to get the full exhaust in a week or so. its going to be 2 inch dual exhaust to the rear bumper and we going to install lake plugs in the front wheel well as well. we have both 2 or 3 bolt plugs just need to decide what to go with.
Yeah but the ones we got from speedway are not the best looking. The caps are junk. If we run the we are going to have to rework the cap.
Why not send them back to Speedway and tell them you need nicer ones? Unless you guys think the next set will also be junk. Or use them and make up a cap for them that's exactly what you want from polished aluminum.
We both think we would get the same thing. We figured out we can rework the caps that they sent by breaking off the studs on the back side of the cap and drill it out for like a carriage or bumper bolt. We both are still thinking 3 bolt though and we will have to cut caps for the set we have.
Yeah we have used those throughout the engine compartment. They look sharp and add a nice touch of detail. Right now I've been mainly working on the display for the roadster show. The stantions are being built right now, I'm trying to track down some good looking little spotlights and some small strip lights to place on the frame in the engine bay to showcase the motor. I found some led cabniet topper light that look like they will work. Big pain is the little spot lights.
Also been putting together the judges book I'm only half way and already at 25ish pages. It's making my camaros book look tiny.
Got contacted by a magazine that wants to feature the car so I've been talking back and fourth with them. I have been writing a article for pdx car culture and also a article for forzamotorsport.net to have the car featured in one of their heavy metal affliction stories.
Roadster show is coming fast hopefully we will be ready.

Contact Jeff Molstrom over at Platt Metro branch. He's a friend and drives that orange-black '56 Chevy gasser that I run around with. He can probably let you look through various lighting catalogs and see what might work for your display.
The phone number is 503-350-3822 if you'd like some help with it. I tossed all my lighting catalogs when I retired. If you need some help with it let me know, I'd be glad to meet you at Platt or assist if you guys need any lighting assistance.

Thanks ill send the number to my grandpa since he has a little more time being retired. I went online to look around and found a few that looked close to what we want.
