do you know, if the '99 Camaro has been used for Nascar Races?
If yes- are there any fotos availiable?

maybe as a pace car, but the monte carlo, grand prix, and taurus have been what nascar has used for years (and dodge w/e they race now)

The camaro hasn't been used for anything other then Pace Car ( Not certain on the year ) .... However the I.R.O.C. Race uses FireBird Trans Am Bodies over the NASCAR Chassis as well as camaro's and others in years past... thats pretty close

 

IROC uses the body of the class sponsor. For a while, it was the Camaro and it was called the IROC-Z. Then Dodge took over and then Pontiac as the class sponsor. A lot of the local type NASCAR tracks have classes that include Camaros. They don't however, race at the premier classes such as Nextel ( Formerly Winston ) cup or the Bush series due to class specifications that require specific bodies that require a manufacturer to present a body to NASCAR for use. That's why You only see Monte Carlo, Ford 500, and Dodge Charger in use, When Toyota joins the chase next Year, they will use the Camry.

I dont watch nascar a whole lot but in my opinion if you base it on brands and let dodge run how do you deny toyota they are both foreign owned. My complaint about letting them run would be that toyota dosnt make a pushrod v8 and they basically took the best designs off of the others and made a new engine. But then again how stock are any of the engines anyhow??
