Default 84 Camaro Z28 Not Selling in PA

Anyone have suggestions for why my 84 Camaro Z28 is not selling?

I may be asking too much...but Hagerty says $11,600 for one in "Fair condition" (which it is).

Should I be trying to sell it on more than just Facebook Marketplace? (I'm thinking yes but I wanted to sort out what I may be doing wrong to have only gotten 1 question on it so far in 5 weeks on Facebook.)

Does my description need to be better?
Here's what my ad says: "1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
2dr Sport Coupe 8-cyl. 305cid/190hp 4-barrel carb High Output
The third generation Chevrolet Camaro Z28 w/shift kit.
Inspected. Garage kept. Fair condition (minor rust, headliner issue) but well maintained.
I have owned this car since ~1996. Under my watch: Top-end, new carb, flywheel, harmonic balancer, fuel tank, water pump, brakes, hood support. Full repair history available.
Don't need to sell it but I just don't use it enough to justify paying for the storage garage. Will show it on an evening or weekend. Serious inquiries only.

I have 11 pictures of it in an album on this website, but I'm not sure how to link you to them right now.

Thanks for any help or advice you can provide,
Ed

Prices vary across the country a lot,$11,600 sounds maybe a little steep for an early 3rd gen at least in my neck of the woods. ("minor rust, headliner issue") doesn't help.
I'd for sure list it as many places as possible not just FB.
You didn't say how many miles are on the car.
Later 3rd gens do better especially with the 350 and a stick shift.
Good luck with it.

Okay. I was guessing it was going to be the price.
The mileage is 130,277.
Thanks for the response. (Did you see the pictures? I'm guessing that wouldn't change your response much, but it is a good looking car.) Thanks again. - Ed

I didn't see a link to any pictures.
I think you need at least 5 posts in the forums before you can post pics, not sure about links.

It let me create an album with 11 pictures. Maybe this link will work: https://camaroforums.com/g/album/30108793
if not, remove the spaces in this URL and view the pictures in my facebook post: https://www. facebook. com/marketplace/item/160845546819339/

Well I was able to see this time, looks like some damage under the front end and definitely needs some body and paint work.
Interior shows quite a bit of wear as well.
Like I said before prices vary a lot depending on location, supply and demand in any given area.
3rd gen cars haven't quite got the following that late second gens have picked up in recent years especially early 3rd gens.
Their day may come but like my 4th gen it's not here just yet.
I hate to bring you down but in my area at least that car in current condition with a 305 and auto and over 100K miles would be in the $5-6K range tops.

Sure thing but as I said geographically prices vary a lot so if I were you I'd lower your price gradually, there may be buyers watching your car waiting for just that.
Get it listed a few other places, not every car guy with money to burn and looking for a project is on FB.
Good luck.

I always thought I could make decent money just moving cars from area where they lower value to areas they have higher value. The $30,000+ it does not really matter. Spend $1200 to ship a car like that is not a big deal but adding the cost of going to see and shipping home a 12K car started to not make a lot of sense.

About where are you at? I could not find the car in a search. I am from PA and it would be a lot harder to sell that car in Johnstown area vs Lancaster area. When I bought my 67 in my signature we drove to Johnstown, The guy could not sell it locally. I picked it up for a song compared to what I was looking at on the eastern side of the State.

I'm located in Pittsburgh. I have it listed on Facebook marketplace, a few groups in Facebook, and on Craigslist/Pittsburgh. My wife is suggesting I list it on AutoTrader. I had thought about CarGurus.com or hagerty.com. Would you suggest one of those last three? Others? Thanks for the advice.- Ed
