I just figured that I'd post up a new thread on here for this year's trip.

I just finished putting together most of the details for 2011's Rod Run and we should be starting to book hotels within the next month or so.

This year's trip is going to be taking us up through Maine and along the coast into Bar Harbor ( http://barharborinfo.com/ ) and Acadia National Park ( http://acadiamagic.com/ ) before heading east into the White Mountains area of New Hampshire. All the fine details aren't worked out yet, but we might even end up touching on Vermont's Green Mountains before it's over.

If you're in the northeast and like to cruise your car on great scenic roads, with a bunch of other musclecars, then you really should check it out.

 

For the past two yrs, I've watched the Calender closely and have hoped to join in the fun.....unfortunately it hasn't worked out with our schedules yet.
For us, it's one of those things where we really can't commit this early and probably wouldn't be able to until 2-3 weeks in advance, is that possible ?

 

It's never too late to join in. It's just that by that time, the hotels release all of our rooms and you have to pay full rate, and that's if you can even find a room at that time. Usually most of the hotels are booked solid months beforehand because of the foliage. That's why I start this so early every year

 

The hotel details, for people coming up to Maine on Friday night, are all worked out. The hotel has given us our discounted rates, but only for a limited time. All the details are on the Rod Run's forum

You did a great job putting it together, and it was a blast.
FYI at one point we had a trail about a mile and a half long of really cool cars going up a road, all in view.

We had people as far away as Niagara Falls area in Canada attend.
