13th Annual Camaro Nationals
Event: 13th Annual Camaro Nationals
When: Friday June 24th & Saturday June 25th, 2011
Where: Fredrick Fairgrounds in Fredrick, Maryland
After 12 years of successful shows at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, the American Camaro Association is passing the reins of this great event to the Maryland Camaro Club. As the Maryland Camaro Club has been the local host club of the event for many years.... the transition will be virtually seamless. They will use the A.C.A. class structure & judging guidelines; along with the same judging staff and the friendly faces of the Maryland Camaro Club you have known over the years. This will all combine to continue give you the great show you have come to love year after year; in a great new location - Fredrick MD Fairgrounds. They chose this location looking to increase the family atmosphere we all love, with the addition of DJs, games, and freedom to spread out.
Classes judged to A.C.A. Guidelines and Scoring Systems
Judged Classes require Pre-Registration!
All Day of Show Registrations are for Participant Vote Classes .......
Three Awards Per Class!!!
Judging your Camaro is Not Required
Fun for the Whole Family

It is best to do a Google search about the subject. There was a few posts about what was going on, both sides were being as nice as they could about what was said in public.
Bottom line was the ACA asked for some changes to be made and Carlisle did not want to.
The best line I saw was "You have no idea on the issues that go on behind closed doors............"
I'm glad they kept most of the comments there
Frederick, MD has welcomed the Camaro Nationals with open arms and has made thing nice.
The venue is nicer too. The town is pretty neat and is close and on Friday they have a free trolley into town. The host hotel and the overflow hotel are both close.
Since I'm (& most Camaro people) more interested in Camaros than the other GM cars I'll (We'll) be in Frederick. I know some people did both last year.
I have been out of the "Camaro scene" ? for almost 10 years now, I like meeting the Camaro people that I have talked to online, or at other shows and events over the winter on different forums. There are so many neat people I met last year & even more that I missed because I was not aware that they were there.
It is a good time to get to hang together. I expect 2012 to be even better.

What would be awesome if Camaro Nationals made their event a separate weekend from GM Nationals so I could go to both for a weekend I considered going to fredrick for a day and then going straight to carlisle this year, but I chose carlisle.
