These gizmos have been around for many many yeras. And they have been marketed under different names. They could possibly have some value on carburated engines, but I doubt it, as carburators like a nice smooth ariflow. This one of the reasons flared intakes are added on top of carburators during dyno pulls. In a carburator the air and fuel are mixed deep into the throat of the carb where any swirling effect has been eliminated as the air passes through the ventury area. They serves no porpose in an injected engine, except as to act as air restrictors, and to disturb the air flow.

It seems that every five years or so, these things get advertised, people buy them at first, then get disappointed and don't buy them anymore. At that point they disappear off the market, only to come back again when they think no une remembers.

There are a lot of things being sold under false premises, especially automotive stuff.

nj so what does it do? if what im talking about isnt it. the tornado didnt give me any more hp or tq but it has for sure gave me a few extra miles to the gallon. cause before i got it i never got above low 20s on the freeway and now im getting around 28 and i keep track cause im tight on money so i like knowing how much im getting MPG. so yeah i aint complaining about the tornado lol
