real electric supercharger?

Is there such thing as a real electric supercharger? There are alot of ebay ones which sell for $30+ and I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought. I also googled Electric Supercharger and found one selling for $199. How would I know which one works and which one doesn't?

Thanks

Wow, it blew that teetering 2x4 over like nothing flat! Imagine how well it will help to power your pistons up and down!!! Fan rpm is one thing, cfm and psi output is another.
It's snake oil. Your engine will benefit more from something like this: Piston Return Spring

You need at least 20 to 50 HP to drive a supercharger hard enough to make a noticeable power increase. An electric motor that can produce that kind of power weighs several hundred pounds. Also a 100 AMP alternator is good for about 1200 Watt or about 1-3/4 HP, which means the battery will have to provide most of the supercharger power. With that kind of draw the battery will run out very quickly an leave you stranded

I'm going to say you are a spammer. You are new on the wrx site I am on alot, and asked the same question. Google his name and you'll see he is a "part" of alot of other forums, asking the same question.

I just bought a hair dryer that I plugged into my intake plenum, should do the same thing.... I just need a really long extention cord.

Good idea, but if you want to use a shorter extension cord, you could put a 1500 Watt portable generator in the trunk to power the hair drier.
