Default dual carbs w/nitrous

Hello,
i have a bbc with edelbrock dual 500 cfm carbs. Well i got a nos dual carb kit. Well i put the plates on and the two middle spraybar inlets almost touched. So it didnt fit because there is hardly any room inbetween the carbs. Has anyone ever used just one carb plate, i really dont want to do this so any other helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also how big a shot should i go safely? thanks for your help. Adam

Default RE: dual carbs w/nitrous

what if you switched intakes to a single carb that has 850-950cfm and ran the no2 kit to that. That should fix the problem. If I understand you correctly, You are asking if running nos on one carb would work. I would guess that It would work but not well at all since the front carb (assuming that you have a normal 2 carb intake and not a cross ram) would be giving most of its feul mixture to the front 4 cylinders and the back carb would be giving its mixture to the rear 4 cylinders. If you added NOS the one set of cylinders would have higher combustion and you would have serious problems. Get a single carb and run the hookup. Sell you carbs and nos now and buy the new stuff with that money. Good luck.

You could also flip the nitrus plate around maybe? I am not familiar with intalling NO2
