charger and nitrous
i have a nitrous kit not yet installed its sitting in my garage and i would like to put it in plus a super charger not yet purchased but saving up for one, can i do both or will this not work?

RE: charger and nitrous
Those will actually be complementary items. As the air is compressed by the supercharger, it heats up. Nitrous has a cooling effect to make the air more dense. So if it is a wet shot, you can pack more nitrous and fuel and air with everything working together.

RE: charger and nitrous
why is not recomendes use platnum plugs ?
|
RE: charger and nitrous
Because when used with nitrous the platnum from the plugs come off. The plugs aren't made of platnum, they are only coated with it.

RE: charger and nitrous
Huh? Platinum comes off?
Umm..no. Platinum is great for their resistance to electrode erosion thus enabling most cars to go longer between sparkplug changes. They are *NOT* neccesarily able to provide a stronger spark. In actuality platinums typically need to be gapped larger then conventional plugs to create the same spark energy. There are two types of platinum plugs as well: "Single Platinum" and "Double Platinum" Single platinum plugs just have a platinum button on the tip of the electrode (maybe this button coming off is what you're referring to?), whereas the double platinums contain a solid-platinum center electrode. |
