you would be better off doing motor work. a good set of heads and a cam would be safer, less expensive, and you would probably make more power.

IMO, LT1 = stroker engine..
but ive seen some procharged LT1s throw some good numbers

i told u about my buddy with the lt4 conversion right? he dyno'd at 291rwhp. but he also had full boltons (and an aluminum driveshaft, cuz he thought that gave him more hp). they are alright, the guys at that firebird forum which i probably will not return said its a complete waste of time to do the swap, but i dunno

yea. and 291 is in stock LS1 territory. i mean.. i'd love to have a fast LT1, cuz IMO they(camaros) look better. but thats why i like Strokers[8D].
Alluminum driveshaft doesnt "add" HP, but it makes it so you don't lose as much throughout drivetrain doesn't it? it's lighter, and alluminum doesnt heat up as much. i mean, it prolly wouldnt be noticeable, but i would think it would reduce drivetrain loss.

from what i understand the LT4 package that puts you in the low 300s range...is just the LT4 hot cam again im not 100% on this but i belive i read somwere with the full LT4 package cam head rollers rockerss so on so forth 420+horse power
