2000 ss How big of a shot?
technically, every nitrous setup slowly destroys the engine. i would never run anything over a 75 wetshot on a stock internals motor unless you want to be tearing down your engine. make sure everything is calibrated correctly and in sync with the TPS to try to prevent an over lean situation which is what will fry the engine quick. look into nitrous plugs..usually Zex will recommend a certain plug, and you may want to look into bigger injectors...you want it to be a bit rich at idol so at higher rpm when the juice drops in it wont lean you out too much.
I don't want to be the new guy who comes on and argues with the Admin. right away but, any mod you do to increase power will slowly wear an engine, be it N2o, a blower, or increased compression. Also this guy is going with a WET system therfore he has no reason to upgrade the injectors as the N2o system handles the additional fuel needs. As for plugs the NGK TR6 is THE plug for N2o. All that being said, if you are an M6 car a window switch is a must, as well as a fuel pressure safty switch. Start off with the smallest shot your kit will allow and work your way up, remeber to check the plugs after each pass, you want them to have alittle color on them, if they are bright white or have specs of aluminium on them you are running too mean. I would say that on a stock bottom end you can safly go up to a 125 shot and never have any problems. There is one other thing you need to know when running N2o and that is the huge torque spike that you get, so you will need better tires and suspension to make the most of the extra power, don't spray out of the hole on a stock 10 bolt in a M6 car unless you want a new rearend.
