Yeah, looks like my car. I went out to clear the snow from around it and found a freeze plug. not a big deal except that it's one from the back of the block. Now I'll have to wait till the snow melts to take it in. At least I now know better then to get the 50/50 mix.

Hey 74454bb: I notice you run almost an Identical ride to mine NICE.

I've a Question. Because of the Aluminum Bumbers and Extended Grill, are the 74 Front Sub Frames the same as the 71 to 73 Front Sub Frames or do the 74 front brackets simply attach to the 73 sub frame?

I suspect my 70 Front Sub Frame is different then the 71 to 73's because the Control Arms (which may be different) have Larger Ball Joints, the same size as a 69 Chevelle and probably have different locations where the Control arms mount to the Sub Frame. The 70 also has an Rubber/Aluminum Bumper mounted to the lower Control Arm which I've never seen on later models.

I think they are different, not sure. From what I get from the parts lists the 74 is a subframe all on it's own.Different then the 70/73 and 75/81's.The sub I have is from another car, so I'm told. I'll have to look for the bumper on the control arms. don't remember seeing one.

That helps out,I only thought it was different becouse of the front bushings, they come in sets for 70-73 and 75and up but not 74's.
