Default What's up, all?

New guy from SoCal-The San Fernando Valley, to be exact. I've owned my 1998 Z28 Convertible since Y2K. I love it, but the old girl is showing her age, especially since moving to CA. She's still nice, but could be much nicer. I've joined here to learn a bit about restoration and hopefully find some decent services in The Valley to bring her back to acceptable standards.

Thank you all in advance for the welcome and forthcoming advice.

Late!

Thanks, Craby. I've been scouring eBay for what I'd like to buy first. I'm debating between racing seats and getting new seat upholstery. The cheapest I saw replacement seat upholstery was on rickscamaros.com. $450 for a set of vinyl.

Welcome to the forum, what's the most important thing to driveability that needs worked on? I would start there and worry about the cosmetics later on. But a good place for leather is leatherseats.com, they make great stuff.

Drivability is not an issue. Brakes, shocks, and springs are recent. AC work just done. Engine purr like a cat at 75k miles. All my issues are cosmetic. I just want to bring the old girl back to form. Thanks for the tip on that site, though.

Say guys, I do have a question about tires. I recently had a rear right blowout and had to replace the rear set. They were a bit bigger (275/40/18's) and I had to replace them with what was in stock at the tire shop (245/40/18's). I was curious as to the widest tire you've heard of anyone using on the rear? Thoughts...suggestions?
