What size of wheels can I use?
I am restoring a 68' Camaro. I am also looking at a chrome alloy wheel like the Foose Nitrous or Torque 2. I want 17 inch wheels but I don't know what backspacing I need. Can someone please help with this? I certainly want the wheels to fit without looking too big or too small. I want them to set under the car and not stick out past. I have seen several pctures with th look I am after but I am just not wheel savy. I have also looked at the Boyd Coddington "smoothies" if it helps you with the style I am looking for. Thanks.

RE: What size of wheels can I use?
We're running a Hotchkis suspension on a 1968 RS/SS with 17x7 (4" BS) on the front & 17x9.5 (5.5" BS) on the rear. P215 50 on the front and P275 40 on the rear. I've been told you can run 18x8 on the rear. The 17x9.5's do not stick out but the 18x8's eliminate interference with the flange because the wheel locates inside of wheel well.
