Default what is the best way to find my 67 SS/RS

I am new to this forum and hope someone could help me find my 67 SS/RS I purchased in Oxnard, CA when I came home from Nam in 67' Like a fool I sold it to go to school in New Mexico in 68. It was then taken in trade on a GTO in Clovis, NM in late 1969/early 70. I lost the old records with the vin#'s but can supply some specific info unique to the car. Is this forum a good way to find something like this, is there a better way. I hope someone could recommend the best way to do this.

I don't know. I have the same issue. I would love to know what happened to my old 67. I have no ins infor and no vin# for it. I have no way really of finding out. Don't know if there is a way to find what cars have been registered to your name and drivers licence. I know the dealer I sold it to up in Ohio but that's it. I doubt they would be able to help me....idk

A few years ago I was able to find my Father-in-laws 69 SS-396 that he got when he graduated high school. I was able to track it down using the VIN, which is mostly useless because records dont go back that far but you still need it, I also called a few people who ran local Camaro Clubs, made a few calls to some people who put me in touch with people that "knew of" the Camaro, and ALOT of help from the Internet and the DMV (which is tricky cause you gotta know someone to get any help there). It was alot of work, took me a little over 2 years to locate it and cost me about $100 in Documentation and Information fees. I hit deadends more often than not but it can be done with a little leg-work and alot of LUCK. so.... good luck to you.
