The wait is killing me!!!!
Talk about an interesting year. I asked my fiancee' to marry me and we set an April date. Less than 60 days from our wedding date, my employer laid me off. Try planning a wedding and honeymoon without a job. Needless to say, the process was less than enjoyable.
In an ironic twist, I landed a new job with a nice raise. Now, it appears I will be able to realize my dream of purchasing a 2010+ Camaro 2SS. My practical side says wait about 9 months, add to the $8k I have now, and with the bigger down payment, get a car payment around $300 over the next 5 years. The other side says screw it. This is your dream car!!!
What to do what to do. It probably doesn't help that I have been laid off by two different companies over the past 6 years so incurring more debt leaves me a bit nervous.
Anyways, I'm enjoying the forums and learning more about my next ride. Cheers from Jacksonville to my fellow NorthEast Floridians.

BTW...I test drove the 2012 Bumblebee version yesterday and let me say that the experience did not diminish my desires. I know the scheme is a bit played out but what a nice ride!!!!
My wife had to pull me out of there kicking and screaming

Lol welcome to the forums. Taking a on a new car is quite a decision. I would wait a Lil and make sure your new job is indeed a stable on. Imo. The way this economy is there is no telling. Have you you tried researching you company. How long has it been in business and such? The biggest ? Would be is logically is the consumer demand fitting the company's business plan and vision. Where do they stand as far as wall street?

I think you should wait a little bit. It seems like you have a big life change coming up and a new gig which is awesome, but the more you wait and plan and save then you may just get something even better and also have the feeling that you didn't give into temptation, are not in debt, and are living the dream!
