Default Transmission Question

I bought a 2000 SS Convertible about a month ago. I put in a 373 rear end - but I want a quicker shift in the L460E Transmission. Any experience with the B&M Shift Improver Kit or Transpak? Or should I just upgrade the Torque Converter or both? Not looking to build a quarter miler, just a quick street performer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since the pressure of the transmission, along with all the other functions, the shift kit that goes inside the vavle body would be a less noticable improvement. If you do that in conjunction with the electronic programmer, it would definately make a difference. And same goes the other way, with the electronic controller the shift pressure is increased, yet the unmodified valve body won't allow it to work to the fullest.

So what you're saying, if I put the shift improver kit in and reprogrammed the shift points with and electronic programmer I'd see a noticable improvement - I'm new to this, so I hope I'm not asking dumb questions - bear with me - thanks

Yes it will be a lot more noticable with both of them working together than with one or the other. It's all good under the hood. We all got to start somewhere.

Just be carefull how hard you make the tranny shift, those extra hard shifts can get pretty annoying on a daily driver, and also beat up the running gear and tires.
