Hey there, I am new and looking for any advice on a transmission situation. From what I can tell, I have a super t10 4 spd in my 67. The issue I am having is due to the close ratio?? First gear is way too tall and 2nd and 3rd are extremely short. I hit over 70mph when I red-line at 7k rpm. I have 373 in the rear end which I think is fine. I'd like to have a little more "off the line" torque rather than feeling like it's either bogging down or spinning the tires at every stop sign. would it be easier to just change that first gear or install a new tranny? Thanks for your input.
