I'm interested to buy a Camaro 2012. The question is about the title that says "title registration not to be issued - tax unpaid". After some googling I can't be clear on what this mean. Some says run away, the tax is unpaid. Other writes that there is no problem since dealers doesn't pay tax. The car have been sold on auction and exported to Sweden, there I live. So is there someone that KNOWS for sure if this is a run away car or buy???
I would call the Pennsylvania DOT directly with your question,I don't think it will be a problem because you are not registering the car in Pennsylvania.
I'd imagine this simply means it can not be registered in Pennsylvania without paying the sales and or other related taxes in that state.
Not sure how it is elsewhere, but in PA, dealers to not pay sales tax on the vehicle. In order for you to register this, you'll need to pay the sales tax on the vehicle, unless you can convince the dealership to do it.

Update: I have got answer from both the dealer in US and MAIA and both says it would be fine to register. The Swedish Transport Agency says unpaid taxes in the country of origin do not accompany the vehicle.
Glade you got your answer, The chances of finding and export expert on this sigh is pretty slim. I would have just suggested to try, if a country issues a new title and all the problems wash away. Heck if they issued a title on a stolen car you would be good as long as you did not bring it over while on Holiday.
Taxes not being paid make sense to me. Here in PA car tax is actually a road tax. If the state knows it will never drive on the road (due to export) they can not really charge a road tax. If something happened to the deal and the car never left the taxes would need paid before a tag would be given.
