Suspension upgrades for 97 Camaro RS?
I'm looking to upgrade the stock suspension on my Camaro. What kind of assembly kit should i get for this? Should i get front and rear springs, front struts, rear shocks and new motor mounts? And whats a good brand ?
good shocks is the best way to start. koni make the best for 4th gens, bilstein are the best budget shocks for us. have a look at what sam has here Strano Performance Parts - Parts Search he is one of the best guys in the country concerning 4th gen suspension.

New Sway bar will give you the most bang for the buck. I have not checked in a while but you use to be able to buy the GM hollow 32mm front sway bar like would come on the SS for $70 shipped off ebay. This will make a noticeable difference, I would recommend getting the matching SS rear sway bar. I did not. I notices my car went from nose diving in the front to the rear feeling loose after the sway bar upgrade.
There are better aftermarket sway bars out there but the SS ones are budget friendly. The SS would have come with the above mentioned Bilstein and the heavy sway bars. They worked great on the SS, but you 3800 is about 100lbs lighter in the front and the weight is set back farther, so with the SS parts your 3800 should out handle a real SS.
