Hi, and sorry about posting in the 4th gen first.
I’m really excited about getting my first Camaro. My last car was a 2000 eclipse gs 5spd. Anyways My name is Stephen. I spent 2 years in the Army, and I’m getting out due to an injury. I guess my main questions are how reliable are the 4th gen Camaros, and are the auto trannies just as good as the 5spd?

 

Welcome to the forums man.You loose about 10 hp with an automatic. Eclipses are nice cars. My dad was also discharged because of injury. The cars are reliable. Most of the time the only problem is that the power window motor may die and need replacing or something like that. Great cars though. Once you go f-body...you dont go back

 

a 1996 3.8 with 114k miles on it. What would you say it's worth? No damage, and mech said its in fine running order.

 

1996 was the first year for the 3.8L the 3.8 is a good motor. Good on gas and puts out the same hp (basically) as a base 302 or 96-98 4.6 Mustang motor.

 

would you say 3,200 is a good deal?

in 95 3.8's came in cali cars.........

 

when ever i put 1995 it was most likely a typo. Im a complete noob to anything over a 4 banger.
