Default SBC 98 comaro, in Australia

Hi guys, new here, im in Australia. I have the only 98 Z28 comaro in Australia! It now runs; 355 small block chev 450- 500 horsepower, 2 speed powerglide, three link rear, custom hemi tailshaft, 411 richmond gears with full locker and running on MT 28x 12.5 street slicks car has run a best pass of 10.4 at just over 130mph.

I'm in the process of "sexing it up" now and have just relocated the battery to the spare wheel well using the BMR kit. What an awsome fit, looks killer and hid most of the wiring including the fuse box's. Looks clean now. Just about to delete the alternator, as it is a dedictaed race car. For a cleaner engine.

Hope some one is keen to chat, Im interested in discussing topics with like minded people.

Blahd on enough for a first post, thanks guys cheers ben.

Aloha Ben,

Did you have to convert the car to right hand drive? Met a bunch of Aussies when a friend and I were out cruising with our C6 Corvettes, nices fellows who talked shop with us. Good to have you here.

Hi mate, thanks for the welcome! No I havent and am not going to convert the car to right hand drive, as it is a race car and doesnt see road use except for the odd blast up the street.

I just ordered a new bonnet from the states, a 4 inch cowl, so i cant wait to get it and fit it up!

Have you any picks of your car. I will post more of mine soon, I have been busy at work it is tax time.

Thanks mate cheers ben.

Thanks for your help comaro 69, with adding pictures. Guess i need to do some more posts, However i do need to know something at the moment. That is does anyone have a small block 350 on a stand with the didtributor in????

I need to know how much height i need to unspline and remove my distributor with the cap off while it is in the car. I want to put a msd unit inplace and mine is in such a spot under the winshield tray thing, windscreen wiper hider piece.

So yeah; i need to know the height from the block to the top of the dizzy with the cap removed?

Should be an easyone for you guys.
Thanks guys cheers ben.

I hope someone has a pic to help you out. You might also try the 4th-gen tech section. I think there is a guy who threw in an old small block in his ride.

Hi mate, thanks for your support. I will try 4gen tech, but it would be easier if someone had a small block sitting on an engine stand, because i can do the measurements on my car with the conversion.

Once i get up 10 posts, I cant wait to show you guys some pictures, as i have nearly completed adding a polished overflow tank of the radiator support. Suits my set- up and looks killer.

Hope someone has a roller cammed 350 on a stand though.

Cheers ben.
