Default Parts

Just joined & couple of easy questions. What are some good on-line places to purchase parts? Any one\place sell in-dash 8-tracks for a 69 SS Convertible? Thanks in advance.

The factory 8 track was not in-dash, it was mounted on the console if I am remembering right. Do you mean after market? Cause I would really question the logic behind that.

Thanks very much. We've (wife's a gear head too) restored 5 Mustangs and I do not like Mustangs but I'm afraid of her and she does. After 50 years she's allowed me a Camaro.

The stock ones I have seen at shows are mounted on the console with the 8 track facing the dash.

Have to be in-dash, console gauges negate one there so I guess after market. Nostolga, I know it sounds not to smart.

Your console gages are mounted in the very front of the of the console, the 8 track was mounted at the arm rest for the console, the thing is huge also. Looks like a shoe box sitting on the console door.

They do make original looking radios that connect to phones via Bluetooth. That's what I am going to do when it comes time to upgrade. Dang ragtop has no place to put speakers either.

You can replace the AM radio with a retro radio/8-track player, or mount a single 8-track unit in the glovebox.
Nice of your young Lady let you get a Camaro. Congrats on the 50 years.
