Default Our new 95 Camaro

Hi Gang,
Just joined this forum because I just bought my first Camaro. I've been looking for a couple of years and finally pulled the trigger on a red 95 I found on E-bay. Won the bid and flew to Phoenix to pick it up. The day we (my wife & I) arrived in AZ, it was 117 degrees. We're from Nebraska but had just planned on driving our new Camaro through the desert out to the west coast. My wife loves the ocean, so we just made picking up the car into a vacation/adventure. (helped sell her on the purchase!) We spent a few days at Redondo Beach, drove the Pacific Coast Highway with the top down, (scratch that off my list) from there to Las Vegas for a few days, then to Colorado, and finally back to Lincoln NE. Wonderful trip, the car performed well, and we love the Camaro. Our first convertible. I'm 58, my wife is 50, (don't tell her I told you that) the kids are gone and we decided to have a little fun. I'm a lifelong Chevy man and have wanted a Camaro and a Vette since I was a kid. Probably won't get that Vette, but I do have the Camaro. It has an Auto with the 3.4 Six and we got around 30 MPG on our trip. Get a lot of looks around here and offers to buy or trade for it. I look forward to being a member of this group.
Regards...Bruce

Nice looking car Bruce. Nothing like driving on the 101. Must have been fun with a convertible.

I have to admit that the drive along the ocean with the top down was as much fun as I've had in a car since I was in high school, but even more spectacular was the drive through Utah. We drove from Vegas to just outside of Denver with the top down all the way and the stretch through Utah was the most magnificent drive I have ever taken. Talk about feeling small! Everyone should do that once in a convertible. It's just breathtaking!
