Cool Oops! Never did introduce myself :/

Hey, everyone! Been posting for a couple months now, but never formally introduced myself. Name's Mark, but we don't have to go around telling everyone that, now do we? I go by Diesel, so it's just easier that way. I own/run my own computer repair and tech solutions company, and work as a Help Desk analyst for Nassau County gov't through an IT contractor. I'm also a dedicated gamer (You can find me on XBox Live or League of Legends), and do a lot of this in my off time:

Diesel DDR Max300 SMMM -Challenge- - YouTube

I drive a '97 RS, and I live on long Island (That's the little growth of a tumor you see sticking out of New York state on your maps of the Northeast). Might as well spam the pictures here that I posted in the 'Post pics of your 4th Gen' thread:

I'll be upgrading the suspension with some new sway bars and other goodies once they come in. This is a project car for me, also trying to make it look good at the same time. I don't know too much about engines, so a rebuild thread or anything too crazy is going to have to wait.

Damn, almost had the arrow in the right spot, LOL. If you see my gamer profile, you'll see what I play. Too many for me to go through right now, LOL

Eventually I'd like a couple things:

1) Get the suspension pieces from Summit (I ordered them already, taking forever to ship from the manufacturer. As of this writing I only got the STB, still waiting on new intake tubing for a custom CAI and front/rear sway bars)

2) Find a PCM tuner for my car. If anyone knows where I can find a tuner for my PCM (Keep in mind, it's a 1997 LT1 ((Painfully stock)) engine) that DOESN'T cost a fortune, please let me know... My speedo is out of whack and I'd like to trim out the fuel/air mixture with the new intake

3) Eventually get it to the local speed shop (Currently the only "Local" one I can find is 'Vette Doctors) and get a dyno appointment. Looking for an end goal of at least 250 HP with bolt-ons

I've been told my engine is an LT1. V6 3800 Series II? Hopefully I was told wrong, and it's an engine that CAN be tuned...

EDIT: Just checked the Wikipedia page for my engine, it's apparently an L36, NOT an LT/LS1. Hopefully this is something I can look into further and get tuned

See the 3800 on the intake and rear of your car, that's a 3.8 V6. Also, the RS only came with a 3.8. An LT1 is a 5.7 liter V8.

Welcome to the forum Mark, it's good to came to see us as we will smart'n you up in the ways of the 4th gen camaro. There are a few people on this forum that have dove deep into V6's in their build threads. So check those out and you'll get some ideas on the engine side of your project.
