I've loved Camaros for as long as I can remember. Grew up seeing them around town and in our local car show in Redding, CA. Now I'm finally within reach of getting my own and I want to approach this with as much information as possible. I've purchased projects that didn't get any progress done because I didn't budget enough cash toward them. Don't want that to happen this time.

My first question (and I'll repost where applicable if nobody reads new member intros) is about seating. I have a family of five and an absolute requirement for me to purchase a Camaro is three seat belts in the rear. Now I'm not talking about three adults sitting back there. It'll be a 6, 4 and 2 year old. Just to clarify, I'm only interested in a first gen. I know they're 2+2 seating, but how wide is the rear seat? If it's more than 50", I could just install some child seat anchors and be good to go. This is not going to be a daily driver for the kids, just an occasional thing so it doesn't need to be comfortable for a ten hour trip or everyday to school. Just legal and not horribly uncomfortable for the occasional cruise.

So to boil it down, exactly how wide is the first gen Camaro's rear seat?

As some of you can imagine, I am STOKED about the mere possibility of finally getting my Camaro.

Welcome to the forum. I wish I could answer your question for you, but I have no clue. I know with the other gens you'd have a hard time getting three kids back there.

well i know you can get two very fat chicks back there. so 3 small kid should fit but how the car seat would work with the two older one.
