Hey there. I'm a complete noob to the Camaro world. My friends successfully converted me from the Mustang side.
My name's Derek Sellers and I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada. I'm 18 years old and am in my final year of highschool.
I used to drive an 87 5.0 Mustang with roughly.... 320hp. But i got into an accident in that (got rear ended in Quebec) which pretty much totalled the car. So about 5 weeks ago i purchase a 2002 Camaro Z28 Convertible. It has about 39,000 kilometers on it (not miles) and was shipped here from Orlando Florida. It's got the LS1 and a 6 speed manual. Pretty fun car, I've got some good plans for it but it'll be very slow going cuz most of my money is going to the car.
Unlike most high school teens my father did not buy this car for me. I got it fromt he same dealership as he got his CTS from. I'm financing it at a little under $600 a month. I work 2 jobs 6 days a week to afford it. But so far its not let me down. The car has pretty much every option on it, full Monsoon sound system, it was vigorously maintained. It's super clean
I love it!
Future Mods (hopefully in order) depends on $$$ :
Cam - looking for something that can help mid to high end power, something with a mean idle
need help with this one.. recomendations??
Exhaust - Long Tubes (probably) and either an SLP Loudmouth Cat Back or a Borla one.
Rims - Looking to get some 18" chrome C5 Z06 wheels
Heads
Suspension
New Hood eventually..
And i'm looking (long term wise over the next 2-3 years) to start saving for an STS Turbo System I need to Catch up to my buddy Drew.. wont happen though. Any of u in the Ottawa area might know him, Motley Drew.. 1000hp Vette lol its not fair.. stupid car haha

Welcome to the forum and Camaro's. Congrats on the new purchase, you have to post some pic's for us. It's alot of hours to pay off but Camaro's are worth it. YAY, another Canadian...I'm 45 mins from Toronto, and do you have any pic's of your buddy's vette?. This forum is great and the people are cool, so you should have as much or more help. Have fun and vote ride of the month.
