No spark after replacing Distributor, Coil Pack, and ICM
Okay I have a 1994 Camaro Z/28 The water Pump went out. As preventive maintenance I replaced The distributor along with the ignition control module, Coil pack, spark plugs. I put everything back together when attempting to crank my the camaro the z28 is getting spark from the coil pack, but not from the distributor I didn't even put the water pump in, in fear this was going to happen any ideas as to why a brand new distributor would not disperse spark to the spark plugs?
So I replaced the defective optispark im getting fuel and I'm getting spark but still does not want to start I've even brought #1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke it will smoke when trying to start any other advise about what I maybe doing wrong or not seeing.
does the oil smell of gas? have you pulled a couple plugs to see if they are covered in gas and that spark is getting to them. also double check your plugwires and make sure they are in the right place and going to the right plugs.
