No heat
Hello, my first post here. Looking for some help. I purchased a used 2012 LS for my son. Always wished I'd had one as a kid, and wanted to have it for personal reasons. LOL. Anyhow his heater will only blow cold air. I replaced the Thermostat ( what a pain in the ***) and flushed the heater core. the tubes going into and out of the heater are hot but the fan only blows cold air. I had a guy tell me it was electronic and that is probably had something to do with the vaccum? Anyhow, any help to try and figure it out would be helpful. Its in the 20's here and getting colder.
Could be a few things, make sure you still have enough antifreeze in the tank as it may had had air in the system.
I don't know the 5th gen cars well but it could be the heater/AC blend door and or electronic actuator.
It could still be the heater core as well.

You could have a BCM code or it could be a electrical/mechanical issue with the heat diverting door. I am not familiar with the 5th gen camaro but I have worked on a few cars from the era. It can be as simple as a clip falling off or it can be a bad driver inside the BCM, The BCM can be bought new or used but it needs reprogrammed for your vin number. I was quoted $3200 by a local shop to replace the BCM in a 09 trailblazer. They had to take the truck to the dealer once it was done for reprogramming the new BCM.
Those examples just show the extremes it could be a wire or just an actuator (electric motor) or one of a dozen things. IMO step one is to see if there any internal codes. .
