Default Newbie in Sunny Phoenix with a '77 LT

Hey my name is Jon. I'm currently restoring a 1977 Camaro LT. I bought it in June of 2008 and when I got it home and got it running, the chain jumped off the gear after a few seconds (Sad Christmas). I never got to drive it. I am now finally getting my project really started. I bought it with a 305 2-barrel with a TH 350. When I bought it, it looked like it had no rust at all but as i have thoroughly gone over the car, i found textbook rust under the pedals. It is Light Buckskin in color and I am changing the interior to Black. Probably will be redoing the Light Buckskin to original or changing it to White. I am dropping a 1973 Corvette 350 into it with camel humps, a newer larger cam, dual plane max flow intake manifold and a stage 3 racing carburetor (shh dont tell the dmv).

I also bought a 77 Z28 that was in poor shape and without title for 500. It was almost completely restored and then the guy had a heart attack and it sat for 8 years in the Arizona sun and in mud when it rained. I got a good interior out of it and the good z28 features off of it.

I have never been on a camaro forum before and decided it was a good idea when I could not find some parts that I need. I figured that at least one person would know where to find it. I also hope that I can bring something to the table for at least one other person. Glad to be hear.

Welcome, we need some more 3rd gen owners around here. Any thoughts about maybe doing a build thread on your project for us?

Yeah, that was just a type o or tired typing. It would be good to have a build thread for it though it you find time to do it.
