Default newbie here

Just bought a 67 Camaro for my son & I to restore. Engine code V1213TJ7. Can't seem to find out if it is original. or what I am dealing with. I know the plant & date can't figure out the suffix code. If anyone knows how to help it would be greatly apprecaited. What catalogs do you recomend?

Where are you getting the code from? There is a casting block number that will give you more specific info. The chiltons manual is the best for repairs, I also would reccomend the white book for more info realating to the RPO's. Welcome to the forums!

Welcome. My father and I started something like that. But we have a 69 and a 67. He of coursed finished his first, so I went a different route with mine. Have fun! Take ur time, dont rush good things.
