Newbie
Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum but have had several 1st gen camaros over the years.
I currently have a 1968 RS/SS Convertible that I am "bringing back from the dead". It was in a fire and wiped out the wiring, dash, and carb/dist. It also got the hood, windshield, cowl, and the console/carpet.
I have rewired the car, replaced the carb and distributor and done many of the replacement items necessary to get it back on the street.
Now here's my problem. I have had the car running nicely and actually driving it almost every day to and from work. However, the other night I was out "cruising" and it suddenly started to miss and run really rough. By the time I made it home it won't hardly even idle much less rev up since it is running so rough.
I have an Eldebrock carb and when back with the basic points type distributor. I have checked everything I know short of buying a new carb or distributor. Does anyone have any direction I can take before I have to spend money I don't have?!?
Thanks and God Bless
