Newbie with a '67
Hello CF members, I'm just getting into this Forum although I have been a Camaro owner for a long time. My wife and I are celebrating a memorable year with each other and our Camaro. It was the first new car purchased after we had gotten married. We were married in Feb. and purchased the car in Sept. Now we and the car are celebrating our 50th. I will be posting some photos soon, but my car is Madiera Maroon with a rare factory Gold interior. It was built in Dec. of 1966. It started it's life on the street as a dealer demonstrator. It had 4000 miles on it when we bought it in Sept. 1967. It's a 327 with a Powerglide, bucket seats with a console and floor shifter. While the car is "stock" Numbers matching, it has been "updated" with Clear Coat, disc brakes, and Rally Wheels, (The factory wheels did not fit after the disc brakes were installed.) the majority of the interior is factory, except for the front seat covers and the arm rests. The car has 114,000 miles on the clock, and is still a ton of fun to drive even without power steering. The car was restored 21 years ago and has taken a number of trophies at local car shows. I do occasional car shows and cruise-ins, but not *** many as I did after I had it redone.
