Hello everyone, my name is Jeri. My husband and I have a 67 SS that is very sentimental to us. He bought the car in 1991 for $ 550.00 and completely restored it with his father, who passed away in 2000 from cancer. We have done everything with this car, its how he and I met, we drove it when we got married, had a pic hanging in our sons incubator when he was born a preemie. Drove it to his dads funeral, and then in 2002 it was stolen from us in Charlotte, NC. In 2006, while searching ebay, my husband found the car and we now have it safely back with us. Some awards we have gotten besides numerous local ones are 2001 Good Guys Southeastern Nationals Mighty Muscle Corral Pick, 2002 First Place and Best Paint at Worldwide Camaro Assn. Camaro Nationals in Mooresville, NC ( 971 pts out of 1000 ), and Outstanding Award in Street Class as Super Chevy, Bristol, TN 2007. I will post some morepictures soon.

Nice looking ride, I can't believe it was stolen then put on ebay. I am glad you have it back, but how did it work with your car being on ebay, did you have to buy it back or is the rotten ***** who stole it in jail?. Please do post up more pic's, and welcome to the forum.

thanks for the welcome. the way it ended up on ebay was they changed the V I N tag in the door. But since my hubby built it, he knew every part of it and it was unmistakeable. So with help from the police, we found who had it, and the " hidden " vin was checked and it was confirmed it was our car. To top that off, my husband was standing there and pulled the center cap which still had his name engraved in it. Took what little doubt anyone had away. The dealer ship that had it had no clue it was stolen and put it on ebay, and it was a mistake. the car was sold the weekend before and was on there a total of i think 40 minutes when he found it. As for the guy who stole it, he admitted to forging the title, so he only got 18 months probation for felony forgery. It came down to this guy done it, no this guy done it. With no proof, they couldnt convict so we took what wecould get. We did have to buy it back from the insurance company, and that is a very long story with some really hard feelings. I may post that sometime. As for theCamaro Performers, yes it is in the November issue. I will definately post more pics soon, just really busy at the moment. Hopefully i can get time later today???? Thanks again for the welcome. Oh and we have been asked several times so i will go ahead and answer, it was gone 3 1/2 years, and no, we never gave up looking

it would only let me put three pics in the photo gallery, so here are a few more. Most of the build pics were in a scrapbook in the trunk when the car was stolen, so of course we never got them back. but i founda few of when he first got the car, the rest are ones we have taken since it came back. We are doing another restoration this winter and will be taking tons of pictures lol

well i couldnt get many in here either, so here is some of the best ones on the car domain site, and i have a ton on my myspace acct. here are both links
