Default Newbie!!

Hello everyone. I am new and want to tell a little about my Camaro.
A couple of days ago I was given a 1971 Camaro RS/SS[sm=groupwave.gif]. The car has been sitting for a couple of years. The inside is pretty tore up, but could be a whole lot worse I suppose. The body is pretty good, just one spot on the front fender has body cancer. I dont know when the last time the car ran, but when it was parked two years ago it still ran. Anyway, I installed a battery and poured a little gas in the carb and it started right up. I was happy!! Anywho, I am completely new to american muscle cars and I am thrilled to learn all about these cars. I definetely have a lot of work to do just to make it road worthy, but as each day has gone by and I learn more about these cars, I become more enthusiastic, and I think I've been bit by the "BUG". Check out the few pictures I have taken of it so far.

I dont think this car is right for you. Any car that is 'just given' has GOT to have issues. I will take it off your hand for you, say 50 bucks....no? ok ok, 100 bucks.
j/k, good deal, cant beat free bro. What are your plans for the ride?

My plans for the car now are to get it running smooth and make it road worthy, as far as the gaskets seals and fluids. And once I have learned more about this car I will make a decision to what I want to do with the car.

I wish the interior in my 79 was in that good of shape lol. The cars is in good shape as far as I can see. You have the right idea about changing the seals and fluids. Don’t run the car any until you get the old oil and fluids out of her. Also when you have some extra change you may want to change out your plugs, wires, rotor button and distributor cap. If there is any gas in the car drain it change the fuel filter and add some sea foam to the fresh tank. Good luck man cant argue with the price. LOL. [sm=welcomesign.gif]
