Talking New Z28! :)

So I have always grown up in a Mustang family but the 4.6's and old 5.0 weren't doing much for me anymore. I have finally bought a 1998 Z28 that's bone stock, has less than 100k miles and has been garage kept its whole life. The car is beautiful and runs like a champ. But now I am ready to actually start building the car to how I want it. I know the LS1 is already an amazing engine out of the box but I want to utilize its whole potential. What do y'all recommend to open her up a little more?
