Default New to the Site...

Hey everybody, just stopping by to say whats up and introduce myself and my ride.

My name is Ian, im from Philadelphia PA and i own a 96 Camaro RS which im about to rebuild. Its a 3.8 v6 right now and I dont know if im going to rebuild the motor or go bigger ( im leaning towards going bigger ). I got the car a week ago as a project car. I own a 04 Dodge Durango so this build will be a slow one lol. I am a father of 3 boys ages 6,4,and 7 mo and will be getting married this Halloween. I figured it was the best time to get something i can work on and hone my skills with. I went to school for automotive tech and design and worked in a shop for a year after school but as the economy went down hill so did the shop. I now work at a hospital and feel that if i don't get back into the car world i just might lose the knowledge i've learned.

Here's a pic of what the car looks like now, as soon as i upload more i will add to this post. Im really looking forward to using the wisdom of other members and the vast amount of resources here on the site to help with my build.

yea im going to build up the 3.8 with a supercharger. I used to have a 93 rs we got a 305 in but i rear ended a Honda and that was the end of that. i'm getting a 3.8 supercharged motor out of a Buick that im going to rebuild. Something to play with ya know.

that engine won't fit, too many mods. the supercharger faces the wrong direction, and it'll have to be ground down to even get the hood to close (not really in your case). Just buy a turbo kit if you're gonna go the forced induction route. You've got a strong engine, and a near bulletproof one. Don't go replacing it.
